Ryan Giggs’ cancer-hit father has pleaded with his footballing son to apologise to his brother, who he has not spoken to since an eight-year affair with his wife was revealed in 2011.

Rhodri, 36, has vowed never to forgive his brother for his affair, which was just one of infamous relationships the Welshman had, including one with former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas.

The Manchester United legend hit the headlines when the eight-year 'limpopo' with his sister-in-law Natasha was exposed, and now his Cardiff-born dad Danny Wilson has implored him to patch things up with his sibling Rhodri for the sake of the family.

“He is my son and my door is always open.

Rhodri and Natasha have since divorced

But he needs to take responsibility for what he did to his brother and his brother’s family,” Wilson told The Sun, who has not spoken to the millionaire footballer for 12 months.

The 56-year-old security guard, who’s currently recovering from surgery for prostate cancer, adds he was furious when he first found out about Giggs’ secret relationship.

“I saw it in the paper and was so angry I jumped in my car and headed for him. I was going to give him a bloody hiding.

“But I saw sense and now illness has made me realise what is important in life — and that’s family. I hope Ryan is happy. And I hope he feels the same about his family.”

Wilson also revealed that the 39-year-old former Welsh international had not even been in touch after finding out he was ill.

“Ryan knows, deep down, I will b*****k him for what he has done to his brother. And okay, I might. But what he did was wrong and if he at least acknowledged it I’d be pleased,” he says.
