Weirdest Gifts Athletes have received

Through out my lifetime, there has never been a time i wasn't excited about receiving a gift from another person regardless of the size of the present.

Whether i'm given singlets during my birthday or boxers as xmas gift, i'm always grateful to them, for having an ordinary guy like me in mind.

But for athletes who make millions of dollars and can afford extraordinary things, the excitement isn't always the same. You have to go out out of your way to satisfy them.

From time to time Sportunes will be searching for those gifts that have berated our favorite athletes.

Roger Federer receiving Cows

Seventeen-time Grand Slam singles champion Roger Federer might be from Switzerland, but when he received a cow as a gift—for the second time in his life—for his accomplishments from his home nation, it really makes me wonder, like seriously this is udder madness!!

On the plus side, he won't have to pay for milk for the next year or so.

Federer was playing in the Swiss Open for the first time since 2004, The fine folks from his homeland decided to welcome the legend the same way they did 10 years ago: with a cow.

In 2003, Federer named his cow Juliette. This go-round, her name is Desiree.
Hopefully, Desiree will be the good luck charm that sees Federer turn around a recent slump.

"She won’t be in my trophy room, that’s for sure," he said. "We’ll find a good solution, she needs a nice place and enough to eat.”
