Dr Dre gives Celtic stars special Beats headphones for 125th birthday

Celtic players have received a special present from American rap superstar Dr Dre ahead of Sunday's Scottish Cup final. To mark the club's 125th anniversary, Dre's company Beats have made special headphones for the first team.

Only 30 of the limited-edition sets were produced and they were given to the Bhoys this week.

Celtic striker Anthony Stokes tweeted a picture of the limited-edition Beats headphones
The cans are green and white and have the club crest.

Striker Anthony Stokes, preparing to face Hibs at Hampden, tweeted a picture of his headphones with the message:

A Celtic spokesman told the Daily Record: 'Dr Dre and his famous Beats brand have commissioned custom-designed Beats headsets to commemorate Celtic's 125th anniversary.

Up for the cup: Stokes and his Celtic team-mates face Hibs at Hampden Park this Sunday

'They were presented to the club this week as the 125th anniversary season reaches its climax with Sunday's Scottish Cup final at Hampden.'

BeatsByDre also posted a picture with the message: 'Congrats on 125 years @CelticFC – check out these customs to mark the special occasion. What dya think #BeatsArmy?'

Last summer, Dre's company succeeded with an ambush marketing operation at London 2012 aimed at Great Britain athletes without the knowledge of the British Olympic Association.

Team GB members were sent headphones in the union flag colours and a number of Olympians were pictures wearing them despite strict IOC rules regarding any non-rights holder advertising.
