Jamie Carragher lines up alongside Will Smith in Ultimate Champions match

Jamie Carragher may have just called time on his football career, but he is set for one last test when he faces Will Smith in the Ultimate Champions Match in Stratford on Saturday.

The former Liverpool defender joins a star-studded cast for the event, which is part of the four-day UEFA Champions Festival building up to the main event between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

The father and son superstar actors will step onto the pitch to help warm up the goalkeepers with a penalty shoot-out and then undertake the coin toss in front of the match official.

Football greats such as Luis Figo, Gianfranco Zola, Michael Laudrup and Fabio Cannavaro are among those on show for the event near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The five-a-side event will kick off at 12.30pm after Will Smith and his son Jaden, who are in town promoting forthcoming film After Earth, have signed autographs for their fans.

The four-day festival is free to attend and celebrates London hosting both the Champions League final and Women's Champions League final - at Stamford Bridge on Thursday May 23.

German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will contest the showpiece in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley on Saturday night after they saw off Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively in the semis.

Wembley last hosted the Champions League final in 2011 when Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-1 to be crowned European champions for the fourth time.
