What are you doing here? Coentrao is ribbed by Real Madrid team-mates as his error is revealed

When Fabio Coentrao took his place on the star-studded the Real Madrid substitutes bench nothing seemed amiss. With one eye on this Friday's Copa del Rey final, the Portugal defender assumed he would join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in being left in reserve. 

It was left to goalkeeper Iker Casillas to finally reveal to Coentrao that he wasn't supposed to be there.

No place: Coentrao is told there is no spot for him

But nobody had told Coentrao he would not figure against Espanyol - as he had not been selected among the replacements. As the penny slowly dropped, the full back went from bemusement to raging after confronting assistant manager Aitor Karanka to check that his Madrid team-mates weren't playing a trick on him.

After it had dawned there was no place for him, the red-faced Coentrao stormed out of the dugout and headed up to the stands. It did got any better for him as he trudged upstairs and then could not find his allocated seat.
