Wayne Rooney puts football on hold and turns to Golf

Wayne Rooney appears unaffected by his latest week of controversy as he took to the golf course with fellow Manchester United player Johnny Evans.

With speculation rife about Rooney's next career move, it could be the last time he plays at his local club before taking the train to Chelsea, the Eurostar to Paris, or even a jet to Madrid.

Even so, a golf buggy was the only form of transport he was interested in today as he swapped the Premier League trophy for a nine iron.

WR10! Rooney's personalised golf bag
Rooney even had his own personalised golf bag, labelled 'WR10', the number he wears at Manchester United.

Rooney was on the field in full kit when United received the Premier League trophy after beating Swansea 2-1 last Sunday.

Whether he gets a game in Sir Alex Ferguson's last match as United manager is unclear, but if not, he may never feature again in a Reds' shirt.
