The formidable Red Bull Racing and Sebastian Vettel partnership looks to be in Formula 1 for a little while longer with the announcement of a contract extension for the German with the Milton Keynes based squad.

Vettel joined the team at the beginning of 2009 after a short stint with their sister (or junior) squad Toro Rosso. He finished runner-up in the 2009 championship, losing out to Jenson Button, before taking three consecutive drivers titles.

In a short but sweet press release, Red Bull confirmed that the triple world champion will stay with the team until the end of 2015:

“Infiniti Red Bull Racing is happy to confirm that World Champion Sebastian Vettel has extended his multi-year contract with the team until the end of 2015.”

The dominant mix of Vettel, Team Principal Christian Horner and the design genius of Adrian Newey looks to continue after the announcement.

The 25-year-old has already scored 28 victories and 38 pole positions with the team as he competes in his fifth season with the team.
