Archie Manning
Whose dad? NFL stars Peyton and Eli
Cool because:
He groomed his sons to be quarterbacks without forcing them into it. Not an easy trick to pull off.
Although he was a famous NFL player himself, he didn’t want his family to get into the whole celebrity culture as the boys were growing up. In his own words:
Although he was a famous NFL player himself, he didn’t want his family to get into the whole celebrity culture as the boys were growing up. In his own words:
"That’s not what we wanted for the boys. We wanted them to play everything they could, be involved in as many school events as they could."
Lebron James
Who is he? Grand Poobah of the court
Cool because:
Lebron James
Who is he? Grand Poobah of the court
Cool because:
He "established the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2004 with his mother Gloria to help out children and single-parent families in need."
Despite his intense schedule and the pressure he puts on himself to be the best, he makes time to play around with his two sons.
The guy is a phenom. Watch Game 7 of the recent Heat vs. Pacers playoff series; you'll need no further evidence.
Roger Federer
Who is he? The Greatest tennis player of all time.

Cool because:

Jose Mourinho
Why is he cool:
He is only 50, he has won countless titles and regarded as one of the best football managers of all time, it seems that Jose Mourinho has the world by finger tips. Yet, the Chelsea manager has, time and time again, insisted that the "most important thing is my family and being a good father."
Mourinho has two kids, a daughter named Matilde and a son named José Mário, and it's obvious that he loves them to bits. For instance, when his former team Porto won the Champions League in 2004, instead of joining his team to celebrate, he rushed to the locker room to be with his family. And in 2007, Mourinho stepped into a playground argument with a 12-year-old boy because he made fun of his daughter.
Anthony Hamilton
Anthony Hamilton
Why is he cool:
If there ever was an award for the best athlete dad in the world, we would so gladly give it to Anthony Hamilton, the loving father of Formula One champ Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton Sr. bought Lewis a go-kart for Christmas when he was only six years old, and that actually kick-started Lewis' interest in racing. Hamilton Sr. told Lewis that he would support his racing career, which he did but that didn't come without any problems: he was forced to take redundancy from his position as an IT Manager and became a contractor.
He would sometimes take up to three jobs just to support Lewis' career, but while still managing to find enough time to attend all of his races.
Calvin Hill
Calvin Hill
Whose dad? Seven-time NBA All-Star Grant Hill.

He has always encouraged his son and watched his games closely.
He taught his son to be humble and give back to the community.
Lionel Messi
Who is he? The Atomic Flea.
Cool because:

Cool because:
He has his priorities straight. Messi said this before his son arrived: "You can no longer just think about yourself, you think about him, and how you hope he doesn't have any problems."
He has his son's handprints tattooed on his leg.
Antonio Cassano named his son after Messi; ‘Lionel was born, he’s my Messi. I’ve given this as homage to the greatest player of all time. I named my son after Messi because I love him, on a football side' Cassano said
Will Murray
Whose dad? Tennis players Andy and Jamie Murray.
Cool because:
He brought up his two sons after his wife Judy walked out on him.

Who is he? The Rock.
Cool because:
He claims that when it's time for his daughter to date, he'll be protective, but not overprotective.
Why is he cool:

Who is he? Rugby World Cup champion and Hall of Famer, father of twin daughters.
Cool because:
He helped to produce a guide for new (and anxious) parents. In his own words, "...spending quality time with [your newborns], learning how to cuddle, and reading up beforehand really helps to increase your confidence."
Whose dad? Former boxer Laila Ali.
Cool because:
He has been ranked among the "20 most influential Americans ever last year by Time magazine for his humanitarianism and the inspiration he provided to people around the globe."
His daughter Hana Ali said this of him: "Helping strangers in need has always been his insatiable drive."
Dwyane Wade
Who is he? "Flash," a Miami Heat superstar.
Cool because?
As a single father of two, Wade takes parenting seriously. He has even written a book on how parenting is more important to him than playing basketball.
He is a true philanthropist.
It was one of the iconic images of the London Olympic Games last year: Mo Farah celebrating his 10,000m gold medal run with his wife Tania, then heavily pregnant, and step daughter Rihanna.

KOBE BRYANT
KOBE BRYANT
Why is he cool:
Despite his mean, lean, scoring machine demeanour on the basketball court, Kobe Bryant is actually a very loving father to his two daughters, Natalia Diamante and Gianna Maria-Onore.
Both Natalia and Gianna are always at courtside to watch daddy play, and Bryant would usually bring them along to practice and press conferences, and he would make it a point to bring his kids to Disneyland during the off-season every year.
In fact, Bryant asked Nike to design one of his signature shoes with diamond-shaped cut-outs to pay homage to little Diamante. That is just too sweet.

Who is he? Father of Derek Redmond
Why is he cool:
Who is he? Father of Derek Redmond
Why is he cool:
Derek Redmond was an athlete running in the in the 400m semi-final at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He was the leader of the pack heading into the back straight, but he suffered a painful hamstring tear.
Instead of just lying down on the track and wait for help to arrive, he hobbled on tearfully, determined to finish the race. Then his dad Jim made his way from the crowd, pushed through several marshals and put his arm around his son's shoulder.
Daddy Redmond told a clearly in pain Derek: "We'll finish this together". They managed to cross the finish line to a standing ovation from the crowd.
