On top: Chisora has Scott pinned against the ropes
No Mercy! Chisora ended Malik's unbeaten run
British heavyweight Dereck Chisora stopped Malik Scott's unbeaten with a sixth-round knockout at Wembley Arena. Chisora caught Scott with an overhand right on the ropes and the American appeared to misjudge the count, failing to get to his feet in time.

Scott started the brighter until the dramatic punch late in the sixth round.
Chisora said;"I thought 'if I catch him he's going to go down' and I caught him,";who had lost four of his previous six fights.

Dazed: Malik Scott fails to beat the count
Malik Scott refused to follow the referee's lead
Malik Scott's corner were unhappy with the referee's count but the fighter accepted defeat.

"He hit me with a good shot," said Scott. "I gave myself an eight, got up at nine and everywhere in America the count goes up to 10.

"Everyone knows I beat the count but Dereck won a clear fair, fight and we're not going to turn this into something." said 32 year old Malik Scott who suffered his first loss in 37 fights.

But the British admitted to being nervous and it was his opponent's 'talk alot' attitude that sent him on his way to victory.

At the end of the day, they are all friends
‘I was more nervous than I ever have been before any fight because I knew how important it was not to lose,’ said Chisora as promoter Frank Warren revealed he would fight again at the Copperbox Arena on September 21.

‘But I felt him fading and got the job done.

‘It was controversial. The first three rounds he had good speed but in the third round his power started going. And he started talking. You know when someone starts talking that they’ve run out of gas.

'‘I feel good in myself right now, everything is great,’ Chisora had said the day before the fight.

Chisora, who undertook anger-management seems to be biting more than he can chew as he set his sights on a rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (the slayer of Nigeria's Samuel Peters) immediately after his victory.
