Everton embarrassed as club spell new signing Gerard Deulofeu's name incorrectly at kit launch

Embarrassing error

Everton officially launched their new kit yesterday and they made made an unfortunate blunder by misspelling Deulofeu's name as 'Deufoleu'

The Barcelona man who just signed for Everton on a season long loan was described by his coach as a 'Real diamond'.. but how can you say somebody is as valuable as diamond when u cannot even spell the person's name?

Handed the number 10 shirt by the Merseyside club, the Spain under-20 star will hope that the club have fixed the faux - pas by the time the season starts on August 17 at Norwich.

Wembely

And this is not the first time Everton have mucked up with their spelling.

Last year, when the team reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, Everton marked the occasion by displaying a shirt with 'Wembley 12' written on the back in the club shop window.

Manchester city were also involved in a similar gaffe last month when their official website misspelled their new manager's name as 'Pelligrini' ( (HERE).
