GUARDIOLA'S TIKI TAKA SHOES...WHO TRIES IT NEXT???

Barcelona announced the unfortunate departure of Tito Vilanova
On Friday July 19th, 20:30GMT Barcelona Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarreta alongside Club President Sandro Rossell announced that Coach Tito Vilanova was stepping down form his Managerial role due to his ill health and a relapse of parotid gland cancer. He was first diagnosed of the dreadful disease in 2011.

In the air: Guardiola won two Champions Leagues with Barca and will take over as Bayern boss this year
Guardiola elevated with his Tiki Taka shoes
Tito's Predecessor Pep Guardiola left behind the "Tiki Taka"- a style of play in football characterised by short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession A.k.a Total Football, Alias JOGA BONITO.. The pattern which excelled in four season's with its climax in season 2008/09. Guardiola's using Tiki-Taka faced 52 different teams and managed wins against all of them except Chelsea.

Ill health: Vilanova has suffered a relapse
Amigo Tito! Vilanova will be leavin Barca to fight the greatest battle of his life
Tito Vilanova was given the responsibility of taking the Tiki Taka baton from his friend, but cancer will not let him finish the race. And now as we say goodbye to ailing Tito ( Our warmest wishes),  Sportunes brings to you...THE CANDIDATES FOR GUARDIOLA'S "TIKI TAKA SHOES"...

Arsene Wenger
Arsene Wenger is held in high esteem
 Arsene Wenger

An apostle and Maestro of Joga Bonito, Le Prof has been courted and flirted with by "Money bags" PSG due to the cordial relationship and expertise knowledge of the game he's got as a pundit/commentator on owner Al-khelaifi's tv network Al-jazeera.

The French monsieur won't pass up the opportunity of Re-Uniting with "Prodigal Son" Cesc Fabregas or coaching four time world player of the year Lionel Messi who Wenger holds in high regard & rates him a "genius" as well as Brazil Golden boy and New Recruit Neymar; the French manager would give up the 17 years "Long Love" he's got with Arsenal Fc especially with him being able to speak Spanish fluently.

Not even a lifetime deal is enough to keep the the Emirates stadium stalwart in London. Although Barcelona faithfuls might frown at the possibility of bringing a manager that has gone "trophy-less" in the last 8 seasons whereas in that period they have won it all.

Luis Enrique - AC Milan v AS Roma - Serie A
Luis Enrique is a former Barca and Spanish player
Luis Enrique Martínez García

Spanish home boy and former Barcelona player & Barcelona B manager, Enrique has become the bookies favorite to take charge of the Spanish giants even six weeks after being appointed as manager of Celta Vigo.

Although having a feel of full Managerial experience with AS Roma two seasons back after leaving Barcelona B, which turned sour, the 43 year old former spanish midfielder would be welcomed home even though at a cost of €3m which Barca would have to pay to Celta has Compensation fee.

In the frame: Coach Joan Francesc Ferrer could take over
Rubi hoping to put the Tiki Taka shoes on
Joan Francesc 'Rubi' Ferrer

Rubi is an AVB kind of coach due to his history in managerial appointment. Joan managed second division side Girona to the LaLiga promotion play-off's but lost to Almeria eventually, few weeks back, he was appointed as an assistant to now resigned manager Vilanova.

Rubi could be given Guardiola's "Tiki taka" shoes to put on, but with the Pressure Cooker Nou Camp environment; the Barca board may reconsider giving the new recruit a double promotion; but then he also is a top contender.

Jordi Roura - Barcelona v AC Milan - UEFA Champions League Round of 16
Jordi Roura coached Barcelona last season
Jordi Roura

First team assistant coach Jordi Roura has got a big shout at filling the managerial role of the Catalans, Hes been on the Tiki Taka seat himself where he took over as head coach on an interim basis the moment life long friend Tito started undergoing treatment.

Judging by Barcelona's standards, he had a not too convincing statistics but Roura has an edge over other candidates due to knowing & having a feel of the managerial shoes which Guardiola worn for four glorious seasons.

Marcelo Bielsa - Athletic Club v Real Madrid CF
Marcello Bielsa is passionate about the beautiful game

 Marcello Bielsa

Argentine and free agent manager Bielsa has also been listed as a top candidate to fill the vacant seat on the Barcelona bench. Egocentric& technically sound, Bielsa was tipped to be Barca's manager before the appointment of Ex-Manager Tito, but then former club Athletico Bilbao needed him more.

Due to his understanding of the Laliga and the top rivalry between the Spanish league champions& Real Madrid ,Marcelo Bielsa brings a different style to the table, although also being a disciple of the "Tiki taka" system with the way he lead the Athletico club to both the Europa league and Copa del rey final's two season ago,but losing both trophies to the better side; Barcelona fans can expect a true disciplinarian as a manager.

Hard act to follow: Jupp Heynckes will be replaced by Pep Guardiola (below) at Bayern in the summer and is likely to leave as a Treble-winning manager
Jupp Heynckes commanded the troops that destroyed Barcelona last season
Jupp Heynckes

German coach Jupp Heynckes who himself is doing a Guardiola by taking a break from the sidelines in Germany is also suits the 'Barcelona manager title'. The treble winner is not an advocate of Tiki Taka as he was the one responsible for the demolition of Tiki Taka after he handed Barcelona  its heaviest defeat in a Champions League game last season with a "Seven Up" treatment. But Barcelona hierarchy wont mind employing the architect behind their misfortunes to build their fortunes back.

Barcelona have got a "shoe" brought in by Guardiola, left by Vilanova;Up for new legs...Who gets to try?
