Nike spell Papiss Cisse’s name wrong on new boots



It's not been a great few weeks for Papiss Cisse.

First, he was banned from the first team after refusing to wear the club's new kit after opposing their sponsor, pay-day lender Wonga, on religious grounds.

Then his case was undermined after pictures emerged of him at a casino - very much at odds with the Islamic faith that underpinned his Wonga protest.

Things picked up for the Senegalese when his exile from the team ended after a PFA-brokered compromise was agreed with the club.

But Nike went and ruined it all by sending Cisse his new Hypervenom boots - spelling his name wrong in the process.

"Well that's awkward," team-mate Sammy Ameobi Tweeted along with the image...
