REAL MADRID ARE PUNISHING ARSENAL FOR THEIR SINS!

Nearly done: How Higuain would look in an Arsenal kit, in our mocked-up image

Last Thursday, widespread reports suggested Gonzolo Higuain was all set to move to the Emirates after Arsenal  agreed a £23m fee and the player was understood to be heading over to London on Friday to undergo his medical and discuss personal terms.

Prospect: Higuain has been Arsenal's main target this summer, and could join up with Wilshere soon
Higuain is not close to Arsenal switch
However  reports coming out of Spain yesterday suggested that NO deal was close between Real Madrid and Arsenal and it would take an offer in excess of £23m to persuade the La Liga giants into selling....

Straight talker: Perez says he does not plan to sell Ronaldo this summer
Real Madrid president has said NO to Arsenal offer for Higuain
Why the Madrid Hierarchy suddenly came up with this decision, Sportunes can only  narrow to 1 answer - REAL MADRID ARE PUNISHING ARSENAL FOR THEIR SINS.

Big talk: Real president Perez says he would not sell Ronaldo for one billion euros
Perez using a similar tactic as Arsenal
Madrid are using a dirty tactic whereby they decided to up the stakes at the last minute and demand more money from Arsenal. They let the deal get so close that it’s almost impossible for Arsenal to back out, so the Galaticos have attempted to squeeze a few extra million out of the Gunners. A very dirty negotiating tactic, but are we surprised?

Backing: Ivan Gazidis wants Arsenal fans to get behind Wenger

Influential: Chelsea and Manchester City could potentially suffer at the hands of David Gill
Former United Chief Executive David Gill
This is a tactic reminiscent of the Van persie to Manchester transfer saga - Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis and the then United chief executive David Gill agreed a fee of £22m for the Dutchman on a Tuesday,

Bitter rivals: The beginning of the century saw Arsenal and United as the biggest clubs in England
Wenger and Sir Alex
Steal: United's most important acquisition of the summer was Robin van Persie, bought from Arsenal
Fergie finally getting his man
On the Wednesday morning that RVP was meant to port to Manchester, Wenger vetoed the price to £25 million, which prompted Sir Alex to travel all the way to London to negotiate with the Arsenal Boss, where he offered £23m but Wenger buckled a bit as he stood and held on for 24 million pounds.. Madrid Learning from the best?

Anelka celebrates scoring Arsenal's second goal against Newcastle United in the 1998 FA Cup final
Nicholas Anelka
But why would Madrid want to sell Higuain to Arsenal for 23 million pounds? The Galaticos paid Arsenal about 23 million pounds for Anelka in 1999!!

Anelka spent only a season with Madrid
Anelka proved more of a liability than an asset for the Merengues as he was not always far from trouble with the all white team. So really why would Madrid want to sell an asset for the same price they bought a liability 14 years ago?!

Arsenal have had a strong relationship with Barcelona
Like seriously i have always wondered in my silent moments, if The Spanish capital club would ever forgive The English capital club for serving as a feeder's team to arch rivals Barcelona.

Arsene Wenger has sold 7 players to Barca since taking over the Arsenal reins in 1996 -

Overmars
Cesc Fabregas
Thierry Henry
Alex Song
Overmars(2000), Petit (2000), Gio Van Brochorst (2003), Thierry Henry (2007), Alexander Hleb (2008), Cesc Fabregas (2011), Alex Song (2012)... All these players have one time or the other caused Madrid so much pain and my gut is telling me Madrid have seen the right moment TO PUNISH ARSENAL FOR ALL THEIR SINS!
