Dutch football club offers 'bikini' car wash as 'Man of the Match' reward

Rather than a customary bottle of champagne, Dutch side NEC Nijmegen are hoping to coax better performances out of their players by rewarding each week’s “Man of the Match” with a car wash. Not just any car wash, mind – a bikini car wash. By lovely ladies. In bikinis.

Nijmegen have hired three bikini-clad blondes to provide the weekly service to their most impressive performer, with the aim being to try and improve on the club’s underwhelming 15th-place Eredivisie finish last season.

Icelandic midfielder Victor Palsson became the first player to be bestowed with the award, posting the above photo on Twitter along with the message, “Thanks @NEC_Nijmegen for this MOTM prize after the game vs. Osasuna. The car has never been cleaner!”…

One of the 22-year-old footballers’ followers joked that the prize ''beats a bottle of champagne any day''.
