Kobe Bryant Posted A Photo Of His Achilles Scar And Says he has "shattered" the timetable for recovery.

Down: Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant grimaces in pain after injuring his left Achilles tendon during the second half of their NBA basketball game against the Golden State Warriors on Friday

The basketball great also shared this picture as he laid on the MRI table. His apparent upbeat mood is a stark contrast to his emotional state immediately following the injury

One advantage of having Kobe Bryant on Twitter (besides having him tweet during playoff games) is the constant updates he supplies us with regarding his torn Achilles. When Bryant sustained the injury at the end of the regular season, there were numerous pundits doing their best to predict when Bryant would be able to get back on the floor. Still, no matter what everybody else has said, it will come down to Bryant’s training and treatment procedures that will determine when he’ll be able to get back on the floor.

Kobe has done a good job of keeping his followers updated on his condition since the injury, Bryant took to Instagram on in May to post an update on his condition, showing his taped Achilles out of the cast with the caption “Foot on the ground! #pray4bear #standup #mambaarmy.”

Kobe Bryant, scar

Yesterday, The NBA star who is currently touring China also took another moment to share a photo of the improved scar.

While the scar, which Bryant has dubbed "The Achilles 'Battle' Scar," looks gruesome, he told the media that the procedure was "different" and that he has "shattered" the timetable for recovery.
Bryant says he is walking fine and lifting weights with the Achilles. Instead of being out 6-9 months and missing a chunk of the 2013-14 regular season, it now sounds like Bryant will be ready to play in the preseason.

There has been no official word from the Lakers on when they expect their star to return. And Bryant admits that the procedure was so different that they don't know what the timetable should be.
