NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS! Congratulations Rafa Nadal and Usain Bolt

Nadal celebra su victoria ante Djokovic en la semifinal del torneo de Montreal 2013

Rafael Nadal captured his 25th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown on Tonight as he defeated home hope Milos Raonic 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the Coupe Rogers in Montreal.

Victory gives Nadal another boost over rivals Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray in the battle for year-end World No. 1 in the Emirates ATP Rankings. He already leads the year-to-date standings and adds another 1000 Emirates ATP Rankings points and $547,300.

The Spaniard lifted the trophy in Canada for the third time, having triumphed in Montreal in 2005 (d. Agassi) and in Toronto (d. Kiefer). He won his fourth Masters 1000 title of the year, having also prevailed in Indian Wells (d. del Potro), Madrid (d. Wawrinka) and Rome (d. Federer).

Olympic champion Usain Bolt restored order to the world of sprinting this night, regaining the 100-meter world championship title he lost through a false start two years ago.

Despite a slow start in the pouring rain, the Jamaican steadily caught up with 2004 Olympic champion Justin Gatlin. He then left the American behind with a trademark late burst of speed that still no one can match.

He won in 9.77 seconds while Gatlin crossed second in 9.85. Nesta Carter of Jamaica took the bronze in 9.95.

The 25 year old now has 6 world championship Gold medals to his name, he's just 2 gold medals short of Jesse Owen's record of 8 Golds... With Bolt still to participate in the 200m where he is the hot favorite to retain his title and 4 x 100m, Immortality beckons for the 'King of the Track'
