TRANSFER BATTLE (Review of this week Major deals) Matia Silvestre, Gago, Caulker,Soldado, Gomis,Bastos, Emre Can, Joshua Pynadath

The battle deadline day beckons in transfers;players, agents, pilots,Sporting directors...all have been in a "RUSH" this week. Welcome on board friends, here are some of the major deals that have been sealed this week:

MATIAS SILVESTRE:(INTER to AC MILAN)[One Year loan]

Inter Milan defender Matias Silvestre has been loaned to crosstown rivals A.C. Milan for one year with an option to sign him at end of the loan spell for a fee of €4 million. The Argentine joins the likes of Antonio Cassano, Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf in crossing the forbidden divide by signing for both San Siro giants either moving from the blue side(Inter) to the Red half(Milan) or vice versa. We hope Silvestre gets to make the red& black stripe half of Milan his "true home" after being a flop at Inter last season moving from Palermo.

FERNANDO GAGO(VALENCIA to BOCA JUNIORS)[Free Agent]

Fernando Gago - Valencia CF v FC Porto - Pre-Season Friendly

Ex-Real Madrid player and Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago decided to do a "HOME COMING" by finally saying goodbye to the La Liga in search of "greener pastures" at home club Boca Juniors. Its reported that what aided his move to leave the Mestalla Outfit is because he wants a chance to play first team football due to a desire to play in next year world cup in Brazil.

STEVEN CAULKER:(TOTTENHAM to CARDIFF CITY)[Reported to worth £9m]

Ambition: Steven Caulker is targeting a place in the England squad for next summer's World Cup after moving to Cardiff City from Tottenham Hotspur for a club record fee of £8.5m

Newly Promoted Premier League Club Cardiff City, broke their transfer record for the second time this season as they purchased the services of 21 year old defender Steven Caulker from Tottenham Hotspurs.

ROBERTO SOLDADO(VALENCIA to TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS)[€30m(£26.5m)]

Big money signing: Tottenham have spent £25million on Valencia striker Roberto Soldado

Finally,The "Eagle" has landed!!! Tottenham have also broken their transfer record for the second time this season by signing 28 year old Spanish international Roberto Soldado.. *Hmmn the score is 3 - 1/2 now in the North London rivalry (i.e Spurs 3[Paulinho,Nacer Chadli,Soldado] - Arsenal 1/2 [Yaya Sanogo]).

BAFETIMBI GOMIS(OLYMPIC LYONNAIS FC to NEWCASTLE UNITED)[£8m]

First man in: Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis is on the brink of sealing a move to Newcastle

The french colony continues at Newcastle has french striker Bafetimbi Gomis finally seals his long awaited deal to join friend and french speaking Moussa Sissoko. Gomis who scored 20 goals in 44 appearances last season for Lyon agreed to join the Magpies after a fee of €8m transfer plus €2m in bonuses was reached with the Ligue1 club.

MICHEL BASTOS:(OLYMPIC LYONNAIS to AL-AHIN[Qatar])[£10m]

Brazilian Birthday boy (turned 30 yesterday) Michel Bastos sealed a £10m move to Al-Ahin of Qatar this week. After spending six months on loan to German club Schalke 04 last season, Al-Ahin of Qatar finally got his signature on a long term contract. Although, Michel Bastos really didn't hit the much anticipated limelight move to a top European club,at least a move to earn some "ARAB MONEY" is worth it in his "golden years" to come.

EMRE CAN (BAYERN MUNICH to BAYERN LEVERKRUSEN)[Undisclosed Fee]

German U-21 star Emre Can sealed a four Year deal with German club Bayern Leverkrusen after not being able to cement a first team spot in former manager Jupp Heynckes European Champions League team. Emre, a talented German midfielder though made a total of 16 first team substitute appearances for the Munich giants, he decided to make a move to rivals Leverkusen as there would be no guaranteed spot for him this season with new manager Pep Guardiola bringing in Mario Goetze and Thiago Alcantara from both Dortmund and Barcelona respectively. We at Sportunes hear that if Emre does prove his mark in Leverkrusen in the next two seasons,Bayern would pay a good "buy-back" sum.

JOSHUA PYNADATH:(Los Anglos Hill High School to REAL MADRID)[One Year deal]

Joshua Who??? So,you may ask. Yes, Joshua Pynadath. Eleven Year old Joshua Pynadath sealed a one year deal with the Les Blanco after impressing on trial earlier this season. The intriguing part of this deal is that Madrid beat Catalan rivals Barcelona to get the amateur with Joshua himself admitting to the fact that he had trials with the defending La Liga Champions, but opted to move to Madrid after being a fan and admirer of Madrid Star C.Ronaldo. What a miss Barca!!!
