TRANSFER BATTLE WRAP: Review of this week's Major transfer deals... Emenike, Remy, Taarabt, Bernard, Gervinho, James McClean, Saber Khelifa, Miroslav Stoch

"Battle day" deadline day beckons,no club wants to be left stranded, Everybody is still in a PAPER AND PLAYER CHASE... its the transfer battle wrap of the major deals that happened during the week - money, money, money!!!:

EMMANUEL EMENIKE(SPARTAK MOSCOW TO FERNABERCHE[€13m])

Emmanuel Emenike

Our Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emenike sealed a return to his "first love"(Turkish League) this week; signing a four year contract with Istanbul giants and Arsenal's champions league play-off opponents Fenerbache SK for a fee of €13m from Russian club Spartak Moscow. Emenike who was once arrested for a match fixing scandal, where Prosecutors had said that in 2011 the Nigerian forward was promised a move to Fenerbahce from Karabukspor in return for not facing the Istanbul side, will be happy that the air is now clear.

We at Sportunes congratulate Emenike on his return to the Super Lig. Truly, the tale of a "Discharged and Acquitted" fellow.

Loic Remy(QPR TO NEWCASTLE[Loan])

Loic Remy - Queens Park Rangers v Newcastle United

After being lured away last season by the jovial and "playstation 3" play side of QPR owner Tony Fernandes, not forgetting the heavy pay pack in wages; Loic Remy joins Newcaslte United on a season long loan. Remy who turned down Newcastle United 8 months ago during winter transfer, decided to go back to his first English suitor on a season long loan from championship side QPR. A case of NO LOST LOVE??? ...Hmmn.

Adel Taarabt: (QPR TO FULHAM FC[Loan])

Adel Taarabt - Queens Park Rangers v Manchester City - Premier League

The Moroccan goes back to his "father" Martin Jol in West London. Taarabt first came to the premier league as a 17 year old teenager from RC Lens under Coach Jol's tenure as manager of Spurs, but couldn't enjoy much "father and son" relationship then, cause the Dutch boss was relieved of his managerial duties just months after. The Moroccan has however reunited with Martin Jol by sealing a season long loan deal with Fulham.

GARY O'NEIL (WESTHAM TO QPR[Free Agent])

Gary O'Neill

Free agent and defender Gary O'neil switched from London outfit West Ham United to the "royal blues" of London QPR. O'neil who played a key role in the Hammer's premier league survival last season, decided to experience a different kind of challenge with manager Harry Redknapp who unearthed his potential's while he played at Portsmouth Fc.

BERNARD:(ATHLETICO MINIERO TO SHAKTHAR DONESTK[€25m])

Bernard - Italy v Brazil: Group A - FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013

This week, our "Eagle" has landed signing is... Arsenal target, now Shakthar midfielder Bernard. The Brazilian this week sealed a £21.5m move to the Ukrainian League champions Fc Shakthar Donestk. Well, its no secret that for every Arsenal target, there's always a better buyer interested in terms of "splashing the cash"; but with a deal worth €10m for five seasons (i.e €2m per annum), an apartment in a Posh area of Ukraine and  a chauffeur for a 20 year old? Money says it all!

GERVINHO:(ARSENAL TO AS ROMA [£8m])

Gervinho - West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal - Premier League

Arsenal fans finally saw the back of Ivorian forward Yao Kouassi Gervais aka Gervinho. After two seasons of flicks, tricks, skills and little or no return of goals from the French speaking player, manager Arsene Wenger let the former Lille Metropole forward join his former manager Rudi Garcia in As Roma. With so much fact files on how well Garcia enjoyed his training year's with Gervinho,we hope he joins the mass exodus of Arsenal players who have left the club to lift a silverware.

JAMES McCLEAN:(SUNDERLAND AFC TO WIGAN ATHLETIC[£1.5m])

James McClean - England v Ireland

Irish Winger Jamie McClean didn't get safe of the "clear out" broom by Italian manager Paolo Di Canio as he was sold for a cut fee of £2.5m, even though it was reported to be an undisclosed fee. McClean who as at last season' was valued to worth £5.5m, had to seal the move to FA cup defending champions Wigan by taking a pay cut in order to improve his career. A good step in the right direction? This season would tell.

SABER KHELIFA (EVIAN TG TO MARSEILLE[€3.5m])

What a Goal!!! Last season's goal wonder of Tunisian decent Saber khelifa sealed a dream move from mid table team Evian to ligue 1 top side Marseille this week. Khelifa who is a forward, scored 13 goals in 25 games and ensured Evian survived league status in the ligue 1; although the Tunisian has a track record of injuries,we hope its all in the past now especially with the good offer of European football that awaits.

Miroslav Stoch:(FERNABERCHE SK TO POAK SALONIKA[Loan])

Miroslav Stoch

The "Slovak Messi" Miroslav Stoch, (Chelsea fans hope you haven't forgotten your former No 33 jerseyed player?) has joined Greek club Paok Salonika on a season long loan. Sold to Turkish club Fernaberche sk four seasons ago, stoch has had a career filled with either injuries, warming the bench,five-fifteen minutes play or reserve games to play. Though he did have a decent start at Ferna, but with the rule of having "eleven foreigners" in the squad, Mr. Stoch had to make way. Hmmn,we pray the Greek 'gods' and angels grant Miroslav's limelight request.

Ignasi Miquel (Arsenal to Leceister City[One Year Loan])
