WAG OF THE WEEK: LALA ANTHONY

 

Part of our mandate on this blog is to let y'all know about the delectable WAGS (Wives And Girlfriends) of your favorite Athletes... Sportunes will be a breeding ground for WAGS as these beautiful women are often scooped up by some of the worlds finest athletes. 

Many vault from being previously unknown to becoming household names as we have seen in Andy Roddick and  Brooklyn Decker. While some probably made the athletes household names like we saw in Kim n Kris. Some 'equally' shine bright like diamonds alongside their athletic spouses like Mr n Mrs Beckham.

The lifestyle of a professional athlete is stunning already so when these guys get to go home to some of the worlds most beautiful models, forgive us if we don't shed a tear for them. 

Our WAG of the week goes to;

Lala Anthony

Lala Anthony is a 34 year old American, who is the WAG of NBA star Carmelo Anthony. She is a disc jockey, television personality and actress. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she attended Redan High School as a teenager. In the early 2000s, Lala came to prominence as an MTV VJ on Total Request Live.

She made her film debut in 2001 in Two Can Play That Game. Her other film credits include Urban Massacre (2002), Monster Island (2004), You Got Served (2004) and Think Like a Man (2012).

On February 2, 2012, she launched MOTIVES by La La, at the Market America World Conference at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.Inspired to create a cosmetic line for women of color ranging in color variation, her cosmetic line consists of multiple products for face, cheeks, eyes, lips and nails. Each products name was composed from a life experience.All products are mineral based and prices range from $16 to $40.

LaLa launched her personal website, IamLaLa.com in April 2012. The site is an interactive community for her fans and friends focusing on fashion, hair and beauty, pop culture, family life and relationships.







Lala can be regarded as a Celebrity WAG as shes always spotted hanging out with American A list entertainers.









Talking about relationships, Lala got engaged to Carmelo Anthony on Christmas day 2004 and got married six years later. They welcomed their one and only son Kiyan Carmelo Anthony in March 2007.

Since then, Carmelo has been the envy of his peers and teammates... thanks to our WAG of the week!
