Dutch Tactician Bert van Marwijk Becomes Hamburg's Chosen One.



It's official! German side Hamburg have appointed dutch manager Bert van Marwijk as the permanent successor to sacked manager Thorsten Fink.

After relieving German trainer Fink late last week,the Bundesliga club confirmed the arrival of the 61-year-old Dutchman van Marwijk on a two-year contract.

Temporary boss Otto Addo who oversaw the Hamburg side when they lost at home 2-0 to Werder Bremen over the weekend, will remain in charge for their DFB-Pokal clash with Greuther Furth on Tuesday.... Van Marwijk's first game in the dugout will be Saturday's game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Hamburg's Sporting director Oliver Kreuzer told the Club's website;"We are pleased that we were able to appoint Bert van Marwijk as coach of HSV,"

"He has extensive experience and has proven his competence in numerous cases."

Dutchman Van Marwijk's was in charge of the Netherlands national team between 2008 and 2012,a duration which he took his country to the 2010 FIFA World Cup final.

But the former oranje manager was relieved of his duties after they couldn't get past from last year's UEFA Euro 2012 group stages registering not a single point.

This will be the Dutch man's second job in the Bundesliga, having managed present league leaders Dortmund from 2004-06.
