Wayne Rooney tried to forget about Manchester United's shock defeat to West Brom by joining Rory McIlroy at a restaurant on Saturday night.
The pair spent the evening in Manchester's 'Neighbourhood' bar and restaurant which is described as bringing a taste of New York to the city.
The striker had been powerless to stop his side slip to a disappointing 2-1 loss at Old Trafford despite scoring a free-kick.

McIlroy split with his Dublin-based management company Horizon Sprots this week after just two years working together.
His new management company, Rory McIlroy Incorporated (RMI), will be headed by Donal Casey, an actuary who was already an adviser to the golfer.
The dispute between himself and Horizon sports follows a frustrating season when the 24-year-old from Northern Ireland has struggled for form after switching to clubs supplied by Nike in one of the biggest sponsorship deals in sport.
If the salaries of both players were put together it would come close to a staggering £30million.
