Saturday Special: Quick Recap of the Barclays Premier League Matches

Tottenham 1 1 Chelsea

Friends again? Mourinho and Villas-Boas embrace following the draw between the two London sides

The Build up to this match was mostly about Tottenham's boss Andre Villas Boas and his Chelsea Counterpart Jose Mourinho... both countrymen threw sticks at each other and it became clear that they are no more friends, but with the London derby ending in a draw, both frienemies reminded us that football is just a game as they boned the traditional handshake for a blackberry smiley hug.

If there's anything AVB is going to regret in the highly tensed match, its going to be the lack of Converting chances in the first half, the north London club could have put the game to bed after missing chances upon chances but only took a solitary lead from a Sigurdsson strike. Mourinho obviously said something during half time and Chelsea came out roaring, couple with the introduction of Juan Mata, the Blues turned the game on its head and levelled things up from a John Terry headed goal. An impressive Fernando Torres also went on receive his marching orders as he received a harsh second yellow card which Mourinho described as a 'mistake' from the referee.

Manchester United 1 2 West Brom

Shock: Morgan Amalfitano celebrates scoring West Brom's opener at Old Trafford

David Moyes will come under the most severe pressure he's ever faced in his life as his Man U team lost to West Brom in what all football pundits will describe as a rude shock. Honestly I'm still trying to recover from that shock, i mean this was the same Westbrom side that Arsenal young guns shot in the heart in the midweek. The Baggies beat Man Utd at home for the first time since 1978, that means Sir Alex Fergie never lost a home match against Westbrom, if there's one person the united fans and probably the staffs are craving for right now, its to see the Knighted Scot back in their dugout and not the 'wasted' Scot.

Westbrom took the lead early in the second half thanks to a wonderful individual goal by Morgan Amalfitano. The Frenchman picked up the ball in his own half before embarking on a run that took him past several players before dinking a cool finish over David de Gea.

Although Man United equalised when Wayne Rooney's 57th-minute free-kick eluded everyone, including goalkeeper Boaz Myhill, the visitors regained the lead through Academy graduate Saido Berahino who also scored against Arsenal during the week.

Aston Villa 3 2 Manchester City

Salute: Andreas Weimann celebrates after scoring the winner for Aston Villa against Manchester City

Please what's the beef between West Midlands and Manchester? Aston Villia completed a West midland's riot on Manchester as they edged out city 3-2 at villa park. Despite twice taking the lead, through Yaya Toureon the stroke of half-time and Edin Dzeko, on 56 minutes, but equalising strikes by Karim El Ahmadi and Leandro Bacuna brought Paul Lambert's men back into the match andAndreas Weimann produced the winner with 15 minutes remaining. The blue part of Manchester are yet to win away from home in the league season and this is the second time they are scoring two goals this season and yet coming out with a loss.

Swansea 1 2 Arsenal

Top of the league: Arsene Wenger saw his charges usurp Tottenham at the head of the Premier League

On this Day 1996, Arsenal fans were groaning - Arsene who? but 17 years later Arsene Wenger has become the current longest serving coach in the Premier League . The French boss celebrated his anniversary with a victory as his Arsenal side edged out resilient Swansea 2-1 at the Liberty stadium.

After a low-key first half, Ramsey set up German youngster Serge Gnabry for the game's first goal in the 58th minute. And the former Cardiff City midfielder produced a composed finish himself just a few moments later as Arsenal recorded their eighth Premier League away win in succession. The goal was Ramsey's eighth goal of the season in all competitions and his 5th in his last four matches.

With Arsenal's fifth win in a row, the north London club moved back to the top of the table and if you think they are not serious title contenders, remember they still have the likes of Cazorla, Podolski, Rosicky, Chamberlain, Diaby, Walcott sidelined.

All smiles: Southampton players mob Lambert after his goal

There were also victories for Southampton, Hull City and Cardiff, who overcame Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Fulham respectively. Pablo Osvaldo scored his first goal in the Barclays Premier League as Saints struck twice in three minutes to overcome Ian Holloway's men, Rickie Lambert netting the second, while Robbie Brady's third goal for Steve Bruce's charges earned Hull three points against the Hammers. A last-gasp goal byJordan Mutch earned Cardiff a 2-1 victory at Fulham, who suffered their fourth defeat of the campaign despite Bryan Ruiz cancelling out Steven Caulker's opener.
