FEDERER TURNS TABLES ON TWITTER FANS

Roger Federer takes questions from fans during a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session. (Reddit)

Roger Federer is doing all he can to keep hold of his fans, with results not favoring him on court, the Swiss legend has found other ways to satisfy #TeamRoger, whom he once described as 'the people that keep him going'. A couple of months ago, after making his twitter debut, the former world number 1 participated in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) Q&A session with his fans, where he answered really personal questions ( SEE HERE).

Yesterday, Roger Federer’s fan interactions on Twitter reached another level when he reversed roles with his followers, asking them questions through the social media platform and retweeting his favourite responses.

Federer, competing in the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, posed questions about everything from tennis rules, to dream sports pairings, to fans' favourite photographs.

@rogerfederer: I enjoyed #AskRF last time. But lets mix it up and reverse the Q&A. I'd like to ask YOU guys some questions and RT the best answers #AskedRF

@rogerfederer: If you could change one rule in Tennis, what would it be? #AskedRF
@seojimbo: Going to the towel after every point. Enough already, man.

@rogerfederer: If you could watch me play any other athlete in any other sport (other than our own sport), what sport and what athlete? #AskedRF

@rogerfederer: For example, it'd be fun to play ping pong with @KingJames #AskedRF
@TNe2F @rogerfederer You playing pétanque with @tonyparker ?

@SourceSyndicate @rogerfederer would love to see Mohammah Ali and Roger Federer in a pillow fight since both float like a butterfly and sting like a bee

@rogerfederer: What's the most awesome photograph of a tennis match? #AskedRF
@RFed1: @rogerfederer #AskedRF

Federer’s twist on the traditional Q&A turned the #AskedRF hashtag into a worldwide trending topic on Twitter 20 minutes after the session began. Even tennis insiders took notice, with Darren Cahill commenting on the phenomenon and Federer's countryman Stanislas Wawrinka responding to one of the questions.

@darren_cahill: The Federer has hijacked twitter.

@rogerfederer: What country are you from and choose 3 words that best describe it? #AskedRF
@stanwawrinka Switzerland : Federer, Chocolate, Bank ...

Federer, the fifth seed at the Paris ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament, will be hoping to get enough points to seal his qualification for the year end World Tour Finals. A win against African number 1 Kevin Anderson today, will see the 17-time Grand Slam champion secure a record-equalling 12th consecutive appearance in the event.
