One out of many Cristiano Ronaldo hobbies is collecting cars. The Portuguese and Real Madrid football player is known for having a special admiration when it comes to show off a new car. CR7 usually doesn't stick with the same car for too long, and he has a private garage with plenty of space for all his dream cars.

Every since he joined Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo salary got a few more digits, allowing CR7 to start buying some cars he has always dreamed of and others that he certainly wasn't even aware of their existence before becoming rich. Bentley Continental GTC

                         

Bentley’s Continental GT has carved out a reputation as a favourite runabout for well-heeled soccer stars and Cristiano seems to have fallen for its charms. This is the man himself in 2007 driving the convertible GTC model.

Porsche 911 Carrera 2S Cabriolet

                               

Hold the footballer jokes please, because Cristiano really did buy a Porsche 911 Cabriolet before selling it for around £70,000 in 2009.

Surprise, surprise, but it was finished in proper footballer spec, with bling 19-inch Turbo alloys, a tiptronic auto box and, of course, that canvas roof.

Maserati GranCabrio

                             

This is Cristiano filming a commercial in Madrid in March 2011. He’s at the wheel of a Maserati GranCabrio, the drop-top version of Maserati’s gorgeous GranTurismo coupé. The car costs £98,000 and is powered by a 434bhp V8 engine.

Bentley GT Speed

                            

With a 600bhp W12 twin-turbo engine, a top speed in excess of 200mph and four-wheel drive, this is the perfect car to show off in. Ronaldo owned this one before selling it for around £114,000 in 2009.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo by Techart

                           

Rumour has it that Ronaldo has owned a number of Porsche Cayennes including this eyeball-shattering monstrosity by Porsche tuner Techart.

Finished in white and wearing a bold bodykit and wild 22-inch wheels, it could rocket to 62mph in 5.6 seconds and sold for £35k recently.

Audi R8

                            

The R8 is the must-have supercar of the season so few surprises that Ronaldo has owned one.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

                          

Cristiano will always be associated with the 599 GTB. He’s been photographed with the car on many occasions and he famously crashed one in a tunnel near Manchester Airport.

This shot was taken in July 2008 around six months before the accident but rumour has it that he later replaced the damaged 599 with another one.

Costing £180,000 and capable of 205mph, the 599 GTB Fiorano has been one of the best-received Ferrari products of recent years. It’s powered by a 6.0-litre V12 with 612bhp and can hit 62mph in 3.7s.

Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI

                    

Lord knows what possessed Ronaldo to buy one of these. Presumably it’s for the maid to nip to the shops in? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good enough car, but a diesel smoker doesn’t exactly fit with his superstar image. He sold it on Auto Trader for £10,795 and got his street cred back.

Audi RS6

                    

Audi’s mighty RS6 is a fire-breathing monster amongst sensible estate cars. It packs a twin-turbo V10 engine with over 570bhp. The sprint to 62mph takes 4.6 seconds and Audi asked customers for nearly £80,000 for the privilege of scaring themselves, four passengers and a flat-pack wardrobe witless.

This is Ronaldo in his silver RS6 while house-hunting in Spain in 2009. He’s in good company: both messrs Beckham & Rooney have been seen in these uber-estates recently.

Audi Q7

                   

This is Ronaldo in 2008 arriving on the red carpet at an award ceremony in the Audi Q7 SUV. Even by luxury 4×4 standards, the Q7 is a big hunk of car. It’s over five metres long and tips the scales at over 2,200kg in its most slimline guise.

Bugatti Veyron

                   

Ronaldo raced a Bugatti Veyron on foot – and beat it – for a TV advert and was apparently so impressed with the 253mph Bugatti that he placed an order for one.

Aston Martin DB9

                

Rumour has it that Cristiano’s fleet of automotive exotica has featured Aston Martin’s elegant grand tourer. The £130,000 asking price certainly puts it in his exclusive ball park and the 470bhp V12 engine can see it to 60mph in 4.6s.

BMW M6

                   

BMW’s M6 has a 500bhp V10 engine and a £90,000 price tag but compared to the super-exclusive hypercars in Cristiano Ronaldo’s collection it actually looks quite modest.

Ronaldo is pictured here in August 2006 leaving a cafe in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. He’d recently returned to train with Manchester United after the 2006 World Cup, in which a frank discussion with fellow Man Utd player Wayne Rooney during the England v Portugal match put him on both front and back pages.

Porsche Cayenne

                  

This is Cristiano in 2007 riding aboard a modified Porsche Cayenne being driven into the Manchester United training ground by a friend. In high-performance Turbo form, the Cayenne turns in fearsome performance thanks to its V8 engine packing close to 500bhp.
