Usain Bolt returned to action at Cayman but disappointed with winning 100m by Photo finish.

Usain Bolt and photo finish should not be used in the same sentence as the Olympic champion on every other day leaves his opponents for dead long before the 100m mark.

Photo finish: Usain Bolt (right, top) won by a fraction
But  Bolt sluggishly began his season when he failed to break the 10-second barrier as he won the 100 metres at the Cayman Invitational and had to settle for a photo finish.

The Olympic 100m and 200m champion pulled out of last week’s Jamaican International Invitational meeting after suffering a Grade One tear in his left hamstring and ran just 10.09secs on Wednesday night to edge ahead of Jamaican 4 x 100-metre relay team-mate Kemar Bailey-Cole, 21.

Bolt, 26, had targeted matching American Tyson Gay’s 9.86-second run in Kingston last Saturday but started slowly and had to rely on an injection of speed in the last 40 metres to pip Bailey-Cole to the line.

The Jamaican said: 'It wasn’t the best start for the season. I didn’t felt as great as felt in training.

‘It was just a bad race. Got to go back to the drawing board and work on a few things and just get it right the next time.’

Golden boy gets golden toy... 'MR BOLT' handed keys to personalised Nissan GT-R

Earlier in the week the Six-time Olympic champion was given a personalised Nissan GT-R covered in gold. The Jamaican had been a Nissan brand ambassador and has promoted the company's Global Brand Campaign which began in April 2012.
In his prime: Bolt is happy to do many events and exhibitions off the track, even appearing in Virgin adverts
Two of Bolt's main rivals, compatriots Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell have also struggled with injuries at the start of the summer months.

As for Bolt, he has also confirmed that he will be running in London at the Olympic Anniversary Games at the end of July.

But for now he has a new car to keep him company with his own personalised number player: 'MR BOLT'.
