Falcao who addressed the issue on Twitter on Wednesday, said: ‘I have been surprised with stories in the media about my age. They are totally ridiculous.
‘I want to deny these claims and end this issue once and for all.’
The Colombian has faced similar allegations in the past. During his time at Argentinian side River Plate, he was accused of knocking a couple of years off his age in order to be eligible for the 2005 Under 20s World Cup, during which he scored twice.
