How far would you go to meet your heroes? For one Arsenal fan, the answer is approximately 5km in just over 15 minutes.
Arsenal's trip to the One Pillar Pagoda in central Hanoi on Monday was made enjoyable by a fan who would stop at nothing to meet his heroes.
The 'Running Man', as he became known, chased the team bus for some five kilometres, maintaining his pursuit despite bumping into trees and a lamp post. The players even shouted encouragement at the energetic fan, chanting ‘sign him up’ as he sprinted along dodging traffic.
Eventually the coach pulled over and manager Arsene Wenger called the ‘running man’ onboard, to a standing ovation from the enthralled Arsenal players.
Wojciech Szczesny, who helped narrate the event via a video on Arsenal website, claimed how the team were impressed with the physique of the fan.
The keeper admitted that even the finely tuned Premier League athletes were jealous of the supporter's 'unbelievable six-pack.'
The gunner looked to have had a great time as he got to take pictures with a bunch of Arsenal players and had his Jersey authorized by the boss himself Arsene wenger.
The Arsenal goalie said at the end of the 3 minute video: "This should be a message for all of you guys, if you really want to pursue your dreams, it can happen and that's what happened to him today"
