From Daniel Stupid to Daniel Fantastic: Sturridge is reborn at Liverpool.

Daniel Sturridge - Liverpool v Stoke City - Premier League
Daniel Sturridge has been a sensation in Liverpool
While Daniel Sturridge was at Chelsea, it was not unusual to hear curses rained on the 23 year old. At match centres in my area, you could hear anguished fans shouting; Oloshi( Useless one), Oloriburuku (Cursed one) and so on after countless mistakes and missed chances. He was conceited and selfish and would even applaud himself after a shocking miss.

Bolton 1-0 vs. Wolverhampton – Daniel Sturridge scores winner on debut
Sturridge was flying at Bolton
With an arrogant air around him, he truly believed he could do no wrong and Chelsea frustrated with his attitude, loaned him to Bolton in 2011 where he performed well, scoring 8 goals in 12 appearances. When he returned to Chelsea, people expected the best from Sturridge but alas he dissapointed once again with numerous erratic displays and a penchant for being the Lone Ranger( One Man Mopol). Chelsea finally lost patience with him and sold him to Liverpool in January 2013. What a move it has turned out to be.
Sturridge couldnt break through at Chelsea
Upon joining Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers warned him that this was his last chance with a top club. He needed to improve and give 100% on the pitch.

Sturridge clearly has taken to those words and he is the toast of Anfield. Scoring on his debut against Mansfield Town in the FA cup, he followed it up with a brilliant display against Manchester United, scoring as a substitute and terrorizing United's backline with his speed. Another superb display against Manchester City proved that Sturridge had banished his demons. Scoring against Chelsea his former club, Sturridge showed he had turned a corner and was no longer the selfish, arrogant brat that he was at Stamford Bridge. He now uses his pace to open up defences and make sensible passes to teammates and his work rate has doubled. Sturridge scored a total of 11 times in 16 games, assisting 5 times in the second half of the season for Liverpool. What a transformation. Never thought he could change.

Sturridge appearing to have gotten his mojo back
This season, Sturridge has started on a positive note for the Reds, scoring the two solitary goals in their two wins against Stoke City and Aston Villa. With his current form, Brendan Rodgers has come out to say: '' Sturridge is one of the best strikers around''. A little bit over the top but boy you can't blame the former Swansea manager for such enthused praise. The break dancing striker has been reborn and with the current bruhaha surrounding Luis Suarez, the KOP can relax because they know they got Daniel 'Bornagain' Sturridge.
