HAPPY BIRTHDAY - David Gill, Antoine Sibierski, David Healy, Wayne Bridge, Salvador Cabanas, Lolo Jones, Salomon Kalou, Ryan Bertrand

David Gill



David Gill is 56 today. He is a former Chief Executive of Manchester United and a vice-chairman of The Football Association. He served as vice-chairman of the G-14 management committee until the G-14 was disbanded.

Antoine Sibierski



Antoine sibierski is 39 today. This silky footballer is from Polish descent and played for clubs such as Manchester City and Newcastle United. He retired in 2009. After finishing his playing career, Sibierski briefly became a football agent with his brother. He is currently the Sporting Director of Ligue 2 club RC Lens 

David Healy, MBE



David Healy is 34 years today. He is a Northern Ireland international footballer who plays as a striker. After coming through the Manchester United ranks, his career saw him play for 10 other clubs and he is presently a free agent after leaving Bury this summer. He is the all-time leading scorer for Northern Ireland with 36 goals and also holds the record for the highest scoring tally during a UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign with 13 goals. Unfortunately for him, for now, he cant be counted among those strikers that have bagged in a century of club career goals as he is just 1 goal shy of accomplishing the mile stone.

Wayne Bridge



Wayne Bridge is 33 today. The English left back can be best remembered for refusing to shake hands with John Terry and pulling out of 2010 World cup because the Chelsea captain had an affair with his ex.

He is a graduate of Southampton academy and went on to play for Chelsea, Manchester City, Fulham, West Ham, Sunderland, Brighton and Hove Albion and appears to have finally settled in Reading where he signed for this summer.

Salvador Cabañas



Salvador Cabanas is also 33 today. The Paraguayan football striker plays for General Caballero in the Paraguayan División Intermedia. A prolific and natural goalscorer, he is known for his array of skills on the field such as excellent heading, accurate shooting with either foot, receptions in tight spaces and a combination of technique, power and positional sense. But he would famously be remembered for being shot in the head in January 2010, He miraculously survived the attack. Sixteen months after the assault he returned to football and participated in a tribute match for him between Paraguay's national team and Club América. 

Lolo Jones


Lolo Jones is 31 today. She is an American track and field and bobsled athlete who specializes in the 60 and 100 meter hurdles. She was favored to win the 100 m hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but tripped on the penultimate hurdle, finishing in seventh place. She went on to win silver at the 2008 World Athletics Final. Jones is the American record holder in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.72s.

Salomon Kalou



Salomon Kalou is 28 today. He is an Ivorian footballer who plays as a striker or winger for Lille. He's one of the most successful footballers to come out of his country as he won numerous trophies with his old club Chelsea including 1 Premier League title, 4 FA Cups, 1 Football League Cup, 1 FA Community Shield crowned with a UEFA Champions League medal.

Ryan Bertrand


Ryan Bertrand is 24 today. He is an English footballer who plays for Chelsea and the England national team as a left back. Bertrand became the first and only player to make his Champions League debut in the final, starting in an unfamiliar left wing role in the 2012 final; Chelsea beat Bayern Munich 4–3 on penalties.
