TRANSFER BATTLE: (Preview Of Major Transfer Deals this Week) ROONEY, OSCAR CARDOZO, BALE, MATRI, QUAGLIARELLA, ETO'O, BENZEMA, DI MARIA

SALES! SALES!! SALES!!! Its seven days to the bell rings off transfers and the battle hits up! Welcome on board friends...Here are some major deals to look forward too:

WAYNE ROONEY

Wayne Rooney - Swansea City v Manchester United - Premier League

Wayne Rooney is expected to be in today's game against title challengers Chelsea. Manager Jose Mourinho has always stated his desire to bring in a world class striker and its been reported the Blues will tender a third and final bid just after the monday night football. But rumors coming out of old trafford yesterday claimed Manchester united are ready to part ways with the English striker but only to a foreign club. With the last week of transfer upon us, Rooney might just be featuring in a team aside from the Manchester outfit this coming weekend.

OSCAR CARDOZO

Oscar Cardozo - Chelsea v SL Benfica

Benfica and Paraguayan forward Cardozo is being tracked by Westham United. The 6ft 5in striker who was last season's Europa League top scorer is on coach Sam Allardyce's transfer radar as the big man wants to add another top attack minded player to his front line after signing Liverpool flop Andy Carroll. Many might argue that a world class player like Cardozo shouldn't stoop so low to a team like Westham, but what we at Sportunes know is that Transfer battle is "Money Battle" especially the way our Samba friend Luiz Gustavo passed up the opportunity of playing European football with Arsenal for a mid-table German club. We are going to Keep calm and see how it unfolds.

GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale!!! Tottenham Hotspurs star and hit man Gareth Bale must seal a dream move to Real Madrid in the next 24 hours. Why are we so sure? Eurosport reported the deal to be worth as much as £183 million when his salary is taken into account. The transfer fee will total £86m, while his six-year contract will be worth £97m – or the small matter of £310,00 per week. Furthermore, his release clause is expected to be in the same region as Ronaldo’s, which currently sits at the prohibitive level of £855m. So put yourself in the Welsh man's boots, where will u rather be? The club that has won the most champions league or the club that has made just one seasonal champions league campaign? Money and Class should settle the argument.

ALESSANDRO MATRI

Alessandro Matri - Juventus v Los Angeles Galaxy - International Champions Cup 2013
Alessandro Matri would be kissing the old lady of Turin goodbye this week as Italian rivals SS Napoli are expected to seal a €12m deal with Juventus. Though Matri wasn't a pretty poor forward in delivering the "goods" but the Juventus hierarchy will feel the 29 goals the forward amassed in three year spell with them isn't  just good enough.

FABIO QUAGLIARELLA

Fabio Quagliarella

Week In Week Out, our Italian brother Quagliarella keeps tussling in our Transfer batle, but it seems the 30 year old is finally getting a destination and that place is...UAE!!! Al-Gharafa have offered the Italian a whooping €7m in transfer fee plus a two year contract. The Arab club in the middle east want to shower more money on a second signing to complement new forward Lisandro Lopez who they also brought in this summer. After being linked with a move to clubs in the premier league, it seems the Azzuri would finally opt for some 'oyel money'.

SAMUEL ETO'O

Samuel Eto ò

Its been reported that Chelsea are in final talks with the greatest African footballer of all time Samuel Eto. The only thing that's delaying the deal is the agreement of personal terms with the Cameroonian as Eto is currently the highest paid player in the world. If the 32 year old wants to reunite with his former coach Jose Mourinho, then he has to take a huge pay cut from his £300,00 weekly salary. When we talk of huge, we mean HUGE!

BEST OF THE REST

KARIM BENZEMA, DI MARIA

Arsenal are set to turn their attentions to Real Madrid pair Karim Benzema and Angel di Maria in their search for marquee signings.

Despite the fact Real Madrid have a shortage of recognised centre forwards, manager Carlo Ancelotti will consider selling France international Benzema.

And the north London club have held high-level discussions with regards to a move for the striker.

Manager Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Benzema and has tried to sign the striker on several occasions before.

But Arsenal now look well placed to finally land the striker ahead of the September 2 transfer deadline.

Wenger is also keen to land Benzema's team-mate Di Maria. The Argentina winger may be surplus to requirements if Gareth Bale completes his world-record move from Tottenham to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Wenger has found huge frustration in their attempts to land Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney, but landing Benzema would soften the blow of missing out on the Barclays Premier League duo.

Arsenal have at least £70million to spend on new signings this summer, so affording Benzema and Di Maria should not be a problem for the London club.
