Djokovic helps Serbia to the Davis Cup final

Less than a week after his defeat to Rafa Nadal in the US Open final, World number 1 Novak Djokovic was on international duty as he helped Serbia come from behind to reach their second Davis cup final in three years. The Serbians who were trailing 2 - 1 at the start of the day needed something and someone special to usurp the Canadian forces.

Djokovic however stood up and continued from where he stopped on Friday after demolishing Vasek Popisil, this time he saw off the effort of Canadian number 1 Milos Raonic in straight sets 7-6, 6-2, 6-2. The win only made sure the Serbians drew level on the scorebord 2-2 and still needed the effort of Janko Tipsarevic who edged past Popisil in the last rubber match.

The serbians will face defending champions Czech Republic who comfortably blazed past Argentina 3-0 yesterday, the South Americans however registered two victores today in a dead rubber match, too little too late.
