LIGA BBVA REVIEW: Atletico Madrid set to Break the Real Madrid - Barcelona Duopoly

Rayo Vallecano 0 4 Barcelona

It was no surprise atall that Barcelona dismantled Rayo, what was a rude shock to us all was that Lionel Messi wasnt on the score sheet. A Pedro Rodriguez hat-trick and a cool finish from Cesc Fabregas maintained the Blaugrana's 100% start to the season and hence top of the LaLiga BBVA table after match day 5.

Real Madrid 4 1 Getafe

It was a Madrid derby in form of a David Vs Goliath clash but just that in this case, there were no heroics from the underdog. Getafe started the brighter side though as they they took the lead inside the first 10 mins of the game courtesy of a Lafita deflected strike. After that, Real Madrid were all over Getafe like rash on skin as a Pepe rare goal, Ronaldo brace and an Isco special sent the Galaticos third on the table.

Real Valladolid 0 2 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid for the past one season, have been proving a team that can break the Barca-Real Madrid duopoly. The Madrid club sent a message to the two clubs yet again as they made easy work of Real Valldolid following two second half goals from Raul Garcia and Diego Costa. The win maintained their 100% start to the season and they are 2nd on the log just behind Barcelona on goal difference.
