Honestly this result didn't come as a shock to me, Immediately i saw the a starting line up without Van Persie, i knew stright up that the Red Devils were in for a very long afternoon. I'm not saying that the Dutch striker would have prevented a mauling, but at least he would have capitalised on a 5th minute yellow card given to Man City defender Nastatic who looked very very comfortable through out the match. And oh pls i need somebody to fill me in on Marouane Fellaini's purpose in the Manchester United squad? The Belgian couldnt break play and lost possession in very critical areas, what the defending champions need is a creative player, somebody who is 'Ozilated'. The defending champions started balling when their most creative player - Tom Cleverly was introduced into the game. The good news is that RVP is expected to make a quick return into the team and Alas! Moyes can breathe a long sigh of relief as Manchester United dont have to face the so called big boys again till thy kingdom come.
Arsenal 3 - 1 Stoke City
Arsenal dint create too many clear cut opportunities today, but they got the job done, thanks to their most expensive player ever - Mesut Ozil. The German was involved in all of Arsenal's three goals and if he keeps being an Assist machine, then Arsenal will no doubt win their first league title in 10 years! The north london club are now top of the table with 12 points after winning their seventh consecutive game in a row.. And Oh No, Welcome to Reality - Olivier Giroud! The 26 yr old was hoping to join an exclusive group of just two players to have scored in the first 5 matches of the EPL season, but instead he extended his goal drought to two matches in all competitions.
Cardiff 0 - 1 Tottenham
I didnt see this game, i didnt even know this kind of game was on, until i heard people in my area screaming Goal!! That was just after the Manchester derby and i was wondering where a goal was coming from.. but Livescores brought me out of my misery as Paulinho sent Totenham joint top of the EPL with a late late finish..
Crystal Palace 0 - 2 Swansea
In arguably the most boring match of the day, Swansea City clinched their second Barclays Premier League win of the season with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace. Michu and Nathan Dyer scored early in either half to hand Michael Laudrup's side the points and inflict what was only Palace's third defeat in 27 matches in all competitions at Selhurst Park to leave them second bottom of the table... Yawns*
