Saturday Special: A Quick Wrap Of All The Actions That Took Place In The EPL Today

Chelsea 2 - 2 West Brom

Soft: Ramires went down under the challenge of Steven Reid, and referee Marriner pointed to the spot

Football is in danger, divers and cheats are about to colonize the sport, the only thing i want as a fan of the beautiful game is to see an end to this injustice. Stamford Bridge was just seconds away from crashing not until the latest citizen of the diving world - Ramires conned the Referee to award one of the softest penalties you will ever see. West Brom who won for the first time at Old Trafford since 1978, were hoping to repeat the trick in the Bridge - a place they'v not won in thirty-five years.

Following Ashley Young's dive against Crystal Palace, former premier league referee Graham Poll recommended a FIVE game ban to be imposed on the English man, a suggestion i felt would be rather harsh, but following today's events at the Bridge, i see reason with the ex referee chief - a retrospective action should be taken on anybody found guilty of trying to negate fair play and cheat his way to the top. C'mon, if Ramires knew he faced a possible 10 game ban for a dive, maybe Mourinho would have finally relinquished his 65 games unbeaten run at the Bridge.

Liverpool 4 - 0 Fulham

Fulham manager Martin Jol embraces Liverpool player Luis Suarez before the match

It was a game between two teams with contrasting fortunes so far this season. High flying Liverpool received clueless Fulham to Anfield and they absolutely destroyed the west London with four unreplied goals. One question i wont stop asking till he leaves the Merseyside club - What will Liverpool do without Luis Suarez? Fulham's coach Martin Jol said of the Uruguayan before the game

"There is no-one better than him in the box. If he's in the box with the ball you can't stop him because he goes through you or he loses the ball or he goes to goal and he scores."

Suarez didnt dissapoint his former coach as he produced two wonderful strikes. He's now joint top goal scorer in the EPL with seven goals!

Norwich 3 1 West Ham

All square: Gary Hooper celebrates bringing Norwich level from the penalty spot

Robert Snodgrass scored a stunning free-kick as Norwich City beat West Ham United 3-1 to move out of the relegation zone.

After their 7-0 defeat by Manchester City last weekend, things did not start well for Chris Hughton's side when Ravel Morrison gave West Ham a first-half lead with his third Barclays Premier League goal. However, Jussi Jaaskelainen dropped the ball and then upended Gary Hooper to allow the former Celtic striker to score his first Barclays Premier League goal from the penalty spot.

Snodgrass, back in the side after recovering from concussion, sealed Norwich's first win in five top-flight games with his first goal of the season after 72 minutes to ease the pressure on Hughton. Leroy Fer made sure of the points with a left-foot finish in stoppage time as Norwich secured their first victory over the London club since 1994, with West Ham now without a win in four.

Southampton 4 1 Hull

Super Saint: Adam Lallana celebrated his first England call-up with a sensational strike in front of Roy Hodgson

Two of Southampton's England contingent helped move the club third in the Barclays Premier League with a 4-1 win over Hull City.
Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana were both on the scoresheet in the first half at St Mary's Stadium as Mauricio Pochettino's men made it four top-flight wins in a row at home.

The home side went ahead early on, with Morgan Schneiderlin taking advantage of poor defending in the Hull ranks to head home Lambert's knock-down.

Lallana was instrumental in the second, as he looked to get onto the end of a Lambert pass, only for Steve Harper to take him down.

Lambert emphatically converted the penalty to maintain his 100% record from the spot for Southampton from 33 attempts.

Southampton's third came courtesy of Lallana, after 36 minutes. The 25-year-old jinked his way into the area before calmly slotting the ball past Harper from a tight angle.

Crystal Palace 0 0 Everton

In with the fans: Distin approached supporters at the end of the game but it appears it didn't go down well

Crystal Palace avoided defeat for just the second time this season as they played out a goalless draw with Everton on Saturday.

Both teams had chances to take maximum points at Selhurst Park, with Kagisho Dikgacoi and Jerome Thomas squandering opportunities for the hosts, while Phil Jagielka hit the crossbar for Everton. Despite probably seeing the result as two points dropped, Everton have now gone five and a half hours without conceding and have lost just one of their opening 11 Barclays Premier League fixtures.

Aston Villa 2 0 Cardiff

Winner: Leandro Bacuna (right) of Aston Villa celebrates with teammate Matthew Lowton

Second-half goals from Leandro Bacuna and Libor Kozak handed Aston Villa a 2-0 win over Cardiff City at Villa Park on Saturday.

Bacuna's 76th -minute free-kick was Villa's first goal in five matches and Kozak’s cushioned header eight minutes later proved enough to earn Paul Lambert’s side their first win since the 3-2 victory over Manchester City at the end of September.

The closest the visitors came to scoring was in the 10th minute as Kozak almost put through his own net, but otherwise Malky Mackay’s side created very little in the way of goalscoring opportunities, failing to build on their memorable 1-0 victory over Welsh rivals Swansea City last week.
